Bee Pollen

Edinburgh Honey Co have been keeping bees in their family since 1957. They are a third-generation beekeeping family originally from Poland and pride themselves in the fact that their honey is sustainably sourced and ethically produced from their bee hives in Scotland and some varieties from their Polish family hives. Bee pollen is a ball or pellet of field-gathered flower pollen packed by worker honeybees, and used as the primary food source for the hive. It consists of simple sugars, protein, minerals and vitamins, fatty acids, and a small percentage of other components. Bee pollen is harvested as food for humans, with various health claims, one of them being that the fermentation process makes it much more potent than simple flower pollen.

Bee Pollen can be added to a variety of meals and smoothies for a healthy and nutritional twist.
